BEGINNING MEDITATION

Meditation helps during times of stress. Meditation can reduce anxiety, increase positivity, and open us to new spiritual growth. While some meditation is religious, many meditation techniques are not religious at all. The key to all meditation is regular practice, combined with various meditation skills that we develop as we practice. In this class, we will learn a variety of meditation practices while we focus on reducing stress. You will need to practice your meditation techniques every day. This class is for beginners’ others are welcome, but this class will focus on beginning techniques.

About The Instructor

Biography

Holly E. Brodt is a long-time meditation practitioner. She is a retired St. Paul Police Officer, has a Degree in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University, and is a Certified Police Peer Counselor. She has been a member of the Arrowhead Critical Incident Stress Management Team for over 9-years and is the Arrowhead CISM Outreach Education Coordinator.

Holly also created her own programs and company: Resiliency P.O.W.E.R. Education. She offers Stress Management and Resiliency Building education and more to emergency, public safety, and medical personnel, as well as high stress organizations
