Education Innovations Partner - Survey
Our school district is one of 17 throughout Northeastern Minnesota that have joined with five community colleges in our region to create Education Innovation Partners (EIP). The goal of Education Innovation Partners is to create a regional, integrated learning model to prepare all students to make a life and a living in the 21st Century, regardless of their geographic location. The model initially will include individualized learning plans and teaching and learning academies, supported and enhanced by a regional technology plan.
Declining regional population has created serious financial difficulties for school districts, leading to reduced course offerings, larger classes and limited access to educational technology. This regional integrated learning model will leverage opportunities to work collaboratively and put students on the path to make a life and a living in the 21st Century.
This model will be developed through a stakeholder-driven process that will engage educators at all levels, parents, community leaders and students through interviews, facilitated conversations, surveys and other information gathering. Education Innovation Partners will incorporate those ideas, expectations, hopes and dreams into a final plan for implementing the model.
