1.      Jazz Band will meet Thursday at 7:15am. (Mr. Hauta)
 
2.      Reminder to all students: Quarter 4 mid-term is Thursday, April 25th. (Mrs. Kess)
 
3.      There will NOT be school on Friday, April 26th   due to teacher workshops. (Mrs. Kess)
 
4.      Advisory periods today - Key Club members will be going into advisory classes today with autism information. (J. Swanson, Key Club)
 
5.      7th Graders:  Your bus will leave at 8:00 to go to the Discovery Center for the Engineering Festival today. Meet over by the football stadium. We will arrive back in Ely around 2:30. (Mrs. Hart)
 
6.      Prom Grand March Practice will be during advisory on Thursday. Go to advisory for attendance and then head over to the auditorium. You will receive your information sheet and picture envelope at that time also. (Mrs. Hart)
 
7.      Mr. Simonich’s 6th hr. Ind. Tech Class  will be going to Eveleth Vo-Tech all day today: (Mr. Simonich)
 
8.      Juniors and Seniors: Tickets for the Junior/Senior Banquet will be sold at lunch and after school Monday through Wednesday 4/29 to 5/1. The Banquet is on Wednesday, May 8 at 6:00 at Amici's. The cost is $20. (Mrs. Hart)
 
9.      Dating and Relationship Violence   will be the program given at the Vermillion Community College Theater tonight at 7:00 p.m. Part of this program will be given by Hillary Hartleben, a former Ely High School Student, who became involved in an abusive relationship.   (Mrs. Kess)
 
10. Autism Fact:   Dogs have been shown to improve autistic children’s quality of life, independence, and safety.   (Key Club)

13. Reminder to all Seniors  - you should have ordered your graduation caps & gowns by now. If you have not done so, please come to the office. (R. Erickson)

15. Grades 5 & 6: The athletic department is looking for fifth or sixth grade students to work at baseball games as foul ball shaggers. The pay is $10.00 per student per game. Two students are needed for each game. There are approximately 8 home games. Write your full name on a piece of paper and ask your teacher to forward it to Mr. Omerza. (Mr. Omerza)
 
16. Autism Fact: Children who are born underweight or premature may have a higher risk of autism. (Key Club)

2.      The Annual Middle School Band Festival  for Grades 5-8 Band, that was to have been at Two Harbors today, has been cancelled. It may be rescheduled to a later date. (Mr. Hauta)

4.      Last chance to see the performance of Oliver!   Oliver will be performed tonight and Saturday at VCC.

2.      Pep Rally for Grades 7-12 : There will be a pep rally today during advisory in the gym to recognize Cole Helms who will advance to the State Speech Meet. Congratulations,   Cole! (Mrs. Kess)
